Over a period of 5 years of blogging, I use below WordPress plugins to empower my wordpress sites. Based on my research and experience , I have created below list of plugins which I use on all my blogs.

Ad injection: For adding ads like Google Ads
Akismet: For handling spam comments (free for personal use)
WP Link Status Plugin: For keeping an eye on all broken links fixing them.
WP Super Cache: – makes your Site load faster using Caching techniques.
SEO Ultimate plugin: Seach Engine optimization Plugin which also has deep link juggernaut.
WP security audit log: Keep an eye on user activities inside WordPress dashboard.
ShortPixel: Compress images without degrading quality. Helps in faster loading of the articles.
WP Sweep: To optimize clean WordPress database.

Cloudflare: CDN plugin for making your website load quicker and fight against DDos attacks

This plugin is really good adding ads to wordpress blog. It has many options for adding ads.

Akismet Plugin:

Akismet is a free anti-spam WordPress plugin. This plugin lets you fight with spam comments.

WP Link Status Plugin:

For keeping an eye on all broken links fixing them.

This plugin will help you will integrating your WordPress site to Social media sites like facebook, twitter etc..

WP Forms plugin:

This free plugin lets you add the contact form on your blog.

OptinMonster:

This is a feature rich plugin. I use it to show email subscription pop up and is highly configurable.

SEO Friendly Images:

This free plugin lets you optimize images for the search engine. It adds alt text based on the name of the image. This plugin is highly recommended if you are not adding alt text etc manually while uploading images.

WP-DBManager:

This plugin can be used to repair the database, backup database, empty or drop tables, Run SQL query or Optimize DB.

WordPress Related Post:

This plugin is easy to use related post plugin for WordPress. You can select from various display option in Settings.

SEO Smart link business

This plugin is really good for automatic internal linking

This is a free WordPress plugin that is the powerhouse of my blog SEO if you would like to try it out instead of SEO Ultimate above. It helps to optimize on-Site SEO, On-page SEO of the blog.

Cloudflare is a free service which offers security & free CDN. If you are using Cloudflare, I highly recommend it to you for your WordPress blog for more accurate results.
